The Petite Design Process in 3 Simple Steps
Step 1
The Discovery Call
We’ll talk through your space, your timeline, and what feels most overwhelming. No pressure, just clarity.
This is a free 30-minute conversation, not a sales pitch. You’ll share where you are, what you need, and what your new home situation looks like. I’ll listen, ask a few questions, and by the end you’ll have an idea of what working together would look like and whether it’s the right fit.
Most clients say it’s the first time they’ve felt like someone truly understood what they were navigating.
Free · 30 minutes · No commitment required
Step 2
The Right Plan for You
We'll start with an in-person design consultation diving into your situation, timeline, preferred design styles, and budget. From there, we'll recommend the right level of support and create a design plan built specifically around your life now.
Some clients need full-service design. Others need someone to handle every last detail down to the spoon so they can focus on everything else. Some need help creating a kid-friendly space. And some just need a clear plan to move forward confidently.
Whatever your situation, the result reflects your next chapter, not your last one.
Tailored to your situation · Transparent at every step · No surprises
Step 3
A Home that Feels Like Yours
You enjoy a finished, comfortable home that feels like who you are becoming.
Not a placeholder. Not a waiting room. Not a space full of furniture from two different lives that never quite fit together. A real home — calm, functional, and unmistakably yours — where you wake up each morning feeling grounded instead of reminded of what you left behind.
And if you have kids? A space where they walk through the door and know they belong here too.

Every situation looks a little different. Here are some of the most common ones we help with. If nothing here resonates, reach out anyway.
You’re setting up a new home after divorce and want expert guidance to create a space that feels intentional, without making expensive mistakes or carrying the burden alone.
You’re overwhelmed and short on time and need someone to handle everything: furniture, vendors, delivery, setup — so you can focus on everything else you’re managing.
You have kids and want your home to feel like their home too, a space where they feel safe, settled, and genuinely at ease when they’re with you.
You’re on a tighter budget and want flexible, expert guidance without the investment of a full design project.
You’re moving into a rental and want it to feel like a real home, not a temporary space you’re just passing through.
You’re starting to date and want a space that reflects who you are now: polished, put-together, and ready to let in someone new.
You're navigating a different kind of life change like a new job, an empty nest, a fresh start after a difficult chapter or something else.
If you’re not sure what you need yet, that’s completely fine. A discovery call is exactly the right place to start.
Who Is This For?
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Like other designers, I’ll help you create a home that is both beautiful and functional. Unlike other designers, I have the lived experience of being a child of divorce and divorced as an adult. I understand the emotional weight of what you are going through, as well as the practical complexity. Through that lens I create spaces that are touchstones to remind you of where you are going, not where you have been.
-
You don’t have to figure it out before we talk — that’s exactly what the discovery call is for. I’ll ask you a few questions about your situation, your timeline, and what feels most overwhelming, and together we’ll work out what level of support makes the most sense for you. There’s no commitment required and no wrong answer.
-
Absolutely. Divorce is hard for everyone, and the need for a home that feels calm, functional, and truly yours doesn’t belong to one gender. While many of my clients are men setting up a new household for the first time, I work with anyone navigating this transition.

We provide in-person interior design services throughout Metro Denver and Boulder, Colorado. For clients outside this area, we offer virtual design services nationwide.
-
Yes. This is one of the most common challenges my clients face, and one of the most emotionally loaded. I help you assess what makes sense to bring into your new space practically and stylistically, and what to leave behind. Sometimes starting fresh means keeping less than you think. I’ll help you make those decisions with clarity rather than just gravitating to what’s familiar.
-
Yes. Not every client needs full-service design, and we have options specifically for people who want expert guidance without a large financial commitment. A good home after divorce doesn’t have to mean spending a lot. It means spending intentionally. Let’s talk about what works for your situation.
-
Both. Many clients are moving into rental condos or apartments after divorce, and we design beautiful, functional spaces that work within rental constraints — no permanent changes required. As much as possible we focus on pieces that will transition well into your next space, so it never feels temporary even when it is.
-
Yes. If you have children, they will always be considered in the design no matter the level of support you choose. We also offer a service built specifically for divorced parents creating a second home where children feel safe, comfortable, and truly at home.
-
Absolutely. A home that feels polished, intentional, and reflective of who you are now is one of the best things you can do for your confidence — whether you’re having someone over for the first time or just want to feel proud of your space. That’s exactly what we help you create.
-
Definitely. A fresh start can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. The why of the design focuses on whatever your fresh start may be. Let’s talk.
